Metaplanet Inc. has officially issued its 9th bond series worth 2 billion Japanese yen (around Rp219 billion) on Tuesday (March 18). This bond will be fully allocated to EVO FUND, with no interest and is set to mature on September 17, 2025.
The company confirmed that the funds raised from this bond issuance will be used to purchase Bitcoin (BTC). Additionally, Metaplanet clarified that the bond will be repaid at its face value.
“Metaplanet decided to issue this bond as part of our investment strategy in Bitcoin,” said Metaplanet’s CEO, Simon Gerovich.
